2023 NNA Shows Texas Fees have gone up to $10 for everything accept RON which is $25 + regular fees

As of 9/1/2023 in Texas the New Fees are 10$ and 2$ for Signature RON is 25$, Fees Collected for Traveling is not Prohibited in the State of Texas Nor Charging a Fee for Travel.
Hi I’m looking into becoming a notary in Texas but I’m confused about the state fees. It says $6 per signature and $1 per additional signature. But who’s signature are they referring to? I’m so very sorry if I’m making it more complicated. For example if I have 1 document with 2 pages that requires 2 total signatures say from a husband and wife and requires one signature from me and a stamp… would I charge $6 for the 1st clients signature and $1 for the 2nd clients signature? I’m lost about who’s signature I’m charging for in Texas if that makes sense. Do you offer basic notary classes about this kind of thing?? Thank you so much.

I think you’re giving out dangerous advice. Most states have an allowable travel fee. You can’t just say ok, $100! It’s against the law and you’re a public servant.
No. It’s simply not true that you can charge an administrative fee and processing fee. It’s just not lawful.
The state spells out what you can charge.

I think people are confused with the price set by their state for the stamp/notarial act itself and they end up pricing it low or at just the stamp price

In today's generation, the overload of information on the market devalues what was once held close to Market participators, which is why it's almost better to not see any fees or cost of a notary until contacted as an investment first before being devalued from a overflooded market of notaries and free notarizations around town.
Even with those services that are free, they are not without cost of the employer paying the notary on staff for their value.

Hello from the Mobile Notary from LA ( lower Alabama).I have customers call and tell me the bank does it for free. I ask why are you calling me? The bank gave us your number. Yes, I have an agreement for the bank to refer customers who they no longer service to me. Unless the notarization is bank related, they turn down the work. My pricing starts at $25 up. I average about $35 to $40 per signing and cash only.
