Notary Fingerprinting Training

Notary Fingerprinting Training

The notary fingerprinting training course will explain the two different processes for obtaining fingerprints and how to conduct fingerprinting sessions. It is a good idea to schedule the training session in advance if you are going to use it more than once.

It is important that you inform the trainee that the fingerprints will be used for identification purposes only, and that they will not be used for any other purpose without their permission. This is a standard disclaimer that needs to be mentioned at the beginning of each fingerprinting session.

The person who is being fingerprinted will give you their full name and date of birth, as well as a valid form of ID such as a driver's license or passport. If they are unable to give you this information, then they are not eligible to have their fingerprints taken.

To become a notary in the state of Georgia, a notary public applicant must fulfill certain requirements. The first is to take and pass the state administered notary exam which consists of a written and a practical portion. The second step is to get fingerprinted by Fingerprinting College Park.

Once you have obtained your fingerprinting certificate from Fingerprinting College Park, you can then apply for your notary commission card. This is done through either the county clerk's office or the Secretary of State's office depending on which county you reside in. In addition, there are some other steps that need to be taken in order to receive your commission card.
